Woman Cuts Off Boss's Penis After He Allegedly Attempted to Rape Her

A waitress in Spain has been arrested for reportedly cutting off the penis of her boss after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her at a bar located near Barcelona.

The woman was arrested on Monday by officers of the Mossos d'Esquadra, the local police department, after she allegedly cut off the man's penis while working a shift in a bar in Sant Andreu de la Barca, according to La Sexta.

She claims that she grabbed a knife and cut off her employer's genitalia after he tried to sexually assault her during a shift at around midnight on Monday.

Following the incident, the waitress called the authorities and the emergency services to the bar, who transported the man, who owns the bar, to the local Bellvitge University Hospital, for an emergency operation to attempt to reattach his genitalia.

La Sexta reported that the woman said that she acted in self-defense during the incident and claimed that Monday's alleged attack was not the first time her boss had attempted to sexually assault her. She told police that he had forced her to have sex with him on multiple other occasions.

The bar owner remains in the hospital, according to news site Paudal, after receiving treatment for his injury, while the woman is being held at the regional police station in Martorell. It is currently unclear whether his emergency treatment was successful.

In 2017, a woman in India escaped charges after she cut off the genitals of a Hindu religious leader, who she claimed had attempted to rape her.

The 23-year-old at the time claimed that the religious teacher, Gangeshananda Theerthapada, often visited her family's home in the city of Kerala to pray for her father and assaulted her numerous times.

On May 19, 2017, during one of the alleged attempted rapes, the woman severed Theerthapada's penis with a knife. She then called the authorities to report the incident.

Although she was initially arrested, police later announced that they would not be pressing charges over the knife attack following the intervention of women's groups and assurances from local government officials.
