Woman Dresses Up As Christmas Tree, Challenges Husky To Find Her

A husky has gone viral after her parents challenged her to a festive holiday game of hide and seek.

Hide and seek can be a tricky game with people finding very good hiding places and the seeker searching in circles with no luck. But instead of using a difficult spot, these dog owners decided to have the mom dress in a Christmas costume. She hid in the house in what most people would believe to be plain sight.

Dad let their husky named Kakoa inside and said, "Find mom!" Kakoa took off immediately, ready to find Mom in record-breaking time.

"All of the places Kakoa looked for me," the caption reads.

The dad followed Kakoa around with the camera to show viewers all the different places the dog looked. Those spots wouldn't be most people's first choice to look, but hey it made for an entertaining video.

Kakoa used her nose to sniff around the house, wagging her tail, and running with excitement. She was more than ready for the challenge.

She Kakoa ran right past the "Christmas tree" a couple of times. She was searching high and low. But as soon as she took one sniff of the present, which was actually mom's foot, Kakoa knew she had done it.

The mom called her name and Kakoa started jumping up and down. She was so proud of herself for completing the game.

The December 8 TikTok video was shared to the account @thehuskyfam, bringing in over 4.7 million views and 201,500 likes. Viewers were obsessing with all the spots Kakoa checked for mom.

"So Mom regularly hides in the toy box, between sofa cushions and the planted pot," commented one viewer.

Another added: "Just to be sure he looked into the flower pot because mom could be in there."

Newsweek reached out via TikTok for additional comment.

Hide and Seek Benefits

Playing hide and seek with your dog is a great form of exercise for both their mind and body. Wag Walking, the dog walking company, said that hide and seek can stimulate the integral area of a dog's natural instincts, encouraging him to remember their name, strengthening recall behavior, and reinforcing their scent-tracking ability.

Other cost-effective ways to keep your dog mentally stimulated include taking them on scent walks, having them play with puzzles, walking new routes, and letting them munch on frozen treats.
