Woman's Face-Shaped Burger Horrifies Internet: 'Calling the Police'

A TikToker has threatened to call the police after seeing a woman's "all-in-one pan recipe" that features a burnt burger smiley face and crushed potato chips covered in cheese.

Jane Brain, 27, from Ontario, Canada, used minced meat to make a smiley face in a pan, adding eggs to create the eyes and smile.

The serial entrepreneur then crushed chips to create "hair" before adding cream and cheese to her creation.

Speaking to Newsweek, she said: "I decided to try the Smiley Face Burger after seeing 'mashed potatoes out of chips' trending online.

"I thought it would be interesting to make both together in one pan.

"The burger was a tad burnt on the outside but cooked to perfection on the inside. To make it even better, I could've used a little bit of Italian seasoning to give it a kick."

The video posted to @myjanebrain has been watched 4.3 million times and received more than 179,000 likes, along with 18,000 comments—many of which express bamboozlement at the method behind the meal.

But Jane couldn't be happier with the end result and captioned the video: "I'm never making burgers another way."

She said: "I was delighted to discover the mashed potato chips turned out the best! They were crispy on the bottom from frying in the burger grease and surprisingly had a ton of flavor.

"I would make it again, but perhaps a little smaller so it could fit in a hamburger bun. Overall, I would give it a seven out of ten, it's a great all-in-one pan recipe!"

It seems Jane isn't the only one making mashed potatoes out of chips as the hashtag #layspotatochips has more than 12 million views.

But many TikTokers aren't convinced by Jane's dish.

The top comment on the video has received 39,000 likes. It said: "'I'm never making burgers another way.' Please do."

Another TikToker referred to a famous British chef: "I need Gordon Ramsay on this ASAP."

"What the hell did I just watch thinking it was going to turn out well," said one TikToker.

"Even the meat looks terrified," commented another.

"I'm calling the police," read one comment.
