Woman Gets 'Chills' as Toddler Niece Says She's Pregnant—So She Does a Test

An expecting mother has said her 3-year-old niece knew she was pregnant before a test confirmed it.

Daisy Reyes, 26, said she was experiencing nausea and extreme tiredness, two early symptoms of pregnancy. But after three months of trying to conceive without success, she was reluctant to take a test.

"I was afraid to take a test and find out it was my imagination," Reyes, from Lancaster, California, told Newsweek.

However, an unusual interaction with her niece Nirvana prompted her to take one. The makeup artist said: "She said she can see the baby girl inside my stomach. She pointed to my stomach and said, 'It's right there.'"

Reyes added, "I had goosebumps when she told me!"

Nirvana is the daughter of Reyes' twin sister. Reyes said she has an incredible bond with Nirvana, and that she is more like a daughter than a niece. A couple of days after the interaction, Reyes decided to trust her niece's instincts and take a test.

"I had a feeling I was pregnant because my body felt so different," Reyes said. "One night I couldn't go to sleep because I just had this feeling. I knew I was pregnant."

"I did a pregnancy test and two lines appeared immediately," she continued.

In February, Reyes shared her experience on Instagram, using the account @daisyreyes__, to find out if other parents had experienced something similar. The footage shows Nirvana kissing her stomach at six weeks pregnant, and the onscreen text explains their story.

The text says in part, "I got the chills." So far, the video has received 1.3 million views and 84,300 likes.

In the comments section, viewers told Reyes she was not alone and recounted their experiences of children predicting pregnancies. Although there are anecdotal reports, science has not yet demonstrated that children can detect pregnancies.

One commenter wrote: "My daughter came down stairs one morning looking tired, she was 4. I asked her why she was so tired. She said her sister came and sat on her pillow all night and talked non-stop. We didn't know the sex yet. I asked her what her sister said. She told me her name is Molly and she's coming on the 5th. She said she's going to be my best friend but mom, she talks too much. I was due the 14th. Guess what? All of those things were true, including the talking all the time, listen to the little ones, they know."

"THAT'S WILD," another added.

A user said: "I had the same situation with my daughter she knew that I am pregnant before I even suspected. That day I took a test and it turned out positive."
