Woman Stabs Home Invader to Death in Colorado—Police

A Colorado woman stabbed a home invader to death as he was engaged in a physical altercation with another female resident, according to police.

Police with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) said the fatal stabbing happened at a home in the 10400 block of Ammons Street in Westminster at about 4:00 a.m. on Monday.

According to a police statement, the male home invader broke into the property and was engaged in a "physical altercation" with a woman when another female resident stabbed the man to death.

Deputies who are carrying out an investigation into the incident said the man was known to the residents.

The JCSO said in a November 29 Facebook statement it was carrying out a homicide investigation into the death.

It read: "Upon arrival, deputies discovered one deceased adult male inside the residence. According to a female witness who lives at the residence, the male had forced entry into the home and was stabbed by another female resident during a physical altercation between the male and the witnesses.

"The male was known to residents, and the individuals involved are currently being interviewed by investigators."

It continued: "This is an ongoing investigation and the decedent's name will be released by the coroner's office after notification has been made."

Newsweek has contacted the JCSO for comment.
