A viral video shows a white woman unleashing an anti-Mexican tirade in a Disneyland bathroom.
The video, shared to Instagram by Eva Ramirez on Friday, shows the woman wearing mouse ears and a Mickey Mouse T-shirt arguing with Ramirez after objecting to her speaking Spanish to her 2-year-old son.
The woman, who has not been officially identified by police or Disneyland officials, can be heard saying that she had "a problem" with Ramirez speaking Spanish, saying "you don't speak Spanish in America" because it is "an English-speaking country."
She then says, "I'm American and I'm white and all my people are from this country," before proclaiming "I hate Mexicans." The woman eventually flashes Ramirez with two middle fingers as she leaves the bathroom.
"I can't believe it's 2023 and we are knee deep in hatred and bigotry yet this person wasn't even subtle nor hiding it," Ramirez, who was at the theme park to celebrate her son's birthday, wrote while sharing the video.
"She screamed several Racist remarks prior to me recording," she added. "Never thought I'd experience this and I thought I'd ignore someone like this, but in the presence of my son no one will scream at him nor me what language to speak in!!"
The confrontation purportedly also included the unnamed woman and a third woman, who uses a wheelchair and is seen in the video but largely remains silent, objecting to Ramirez using a handicap stall with her son, who was in a stroller.
"The bigger restroom stalls at that location are also for mothers with children and clearly have no handicap signs," Ramirez wrote. "Of course the immediate attempt to victimize themselves once they get caught in the act."
Ramirez said that Disneyland security officers refused to ask the women to leave the Southern California resort "because it was only a verbal confrontation" and they wanted to "avoid any lawsuits."
A Disneyland representative told Newsweek that the incident took place inside a parking structure bathroom on December 5 and police were called to the incident. Anaheim Police Sergeant Jon McClintock said in an email that "responding Officers determined a crime did not occur and did not make any arrests."
Days after online sleuths claimed to identify the woman shown making the offensive comments, a protest erupted outside the San Bernardino County home of the alleged culprit, resulting in at least one arrest, according to the Daily Mail.
A San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department spokesperson told Newsweek via email that authorities received "a call of trespassing" in a "private community." A protester identified as Edin Enamorado was arrested after refusing police demands to leave, the sheriff's department said.
Newsweek reached out for comment Monday to Ramirez via Instagram message.
The recent incident was not the only racist outburst to be captured on camera at Disneyland this year.
In July, an unidentified woman was captured intentionally sitting on an Asian child's backpack during a fireworks display at the park, before yelling at her mother to "go back to your damn China" after being confronted, according to Inside the Magic.
