WWE Crown Jewel Live Results: Everything That Happened in Saudi Arabia

WWE's second Saudi Arabia show, Crown Jewel, is live! And there looks to be at least one new champion crowned.

Despite the controversy surrounding the show, the WWE refused to cancel an event where many of its superstars are looking to capture championships. The recently-vacated Universal Championship will have a new holder, while the U.S., SmackDown Tag Team and WWE Championships will be defended.

The World Cup tournament (to determine the best in the world) will run throughout Crown Jewel as eight competitors, including Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton duke it out. And, of course, there's the match between DX and the Brothers of Destruction which marks Shawn Michaels' return to the ring after his retirement eight years ago.

Shinsuke (c) vs Rusev - US Championship Match

• Kickoff show match.
• Nakamura wins via pinfall after a Kinchasa.
• Shinsuke delivered a headbutt to Rusev's groin to escape the Accolade, leading to the finish.

Opening Segment

• Hulk Hogan is introduced as the host of Crown Jewel.
• He says it feels good to be in front of the WWE Universe. He delivers his greatest hits and says the Crown Jewel begins now.

Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton - World Cup Tournament Round 1 Match

• Mysterio wins via pinfall after a reverese to Orton's RKO.
• After the match, Orton hits Mysterio with an RKO and continues to beat him down.

Miz Interview

• Miz is asked how he's feeling after watching Orton beat down Mysterio.
• Miz says he'll dispatch Jeff Hardy and then roll over an injured Mysterio so he's feeling awesome.

• He's asked how's he feel to be in the tournament and he says he has butterflies. He says that this tournament isn't an exclamation point to his career, it's to reaffirm that he's still the best in the world.

• Ziggler wins via pinfall after a Zig Zag.

New Day vs The Bar (c) - SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match

• Sheamus pins Big E after a Brogue Kick.
• Big Show hit Big E with a right hand when the referee wasn't looking to set up the finish.

Rey Mysterio vs The Miz - World Cup Tournament Semifinal

• Miz wins via pinfall after getting his knees up to counter Mysterio's splash.

Seth Rollins vs Dolph Ziggler - World Cup Tournament Semifinal

• Ziggler wins via pinfall after a Zig Zag.
• McIntyre threw Rollins off the top rope when the referee wasn't looking to set up the finish.

Samoa Joe vs AJ Styes (c) - WWE Championship Match

• AJ Styles wins via pinfall after a Phenomenal Forearm.

Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman - Universal Championship Match

• Baron Corbin comes out to watch the match and present the title. Before the match begins, Corbin hits Strowman with the Universal title allowing for Lesnar to hit three straight F-5s, but Braun kicked out.
• Lesnar wins via pinfall after a fourth F-5.

The Miz vs Dolph Ziggler - World Cup Finals

• Before the match, Drew McIntyre is sent to the back.
• Miz beats down Ziggler before the bell and throws him out of the ring. When Miz goes after him, he looks to tweak his knee and can't compete.
• Miz is about to be eliminated when Shane McMahon takes Miz's place.
• Baron Corbin trips Shane during the match and gets sent to the back.
• Shane wins via pinfall after hitting a Coast to Coast.
