Xbox Series X Christmas Restock for Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target and More

With Christmas just around the corner, gamers are more eager than ever to get a hold of the elusive Xbox Series X.

Unfortunately, it's not got any easier to track down this console, given that the microchip shortage is still a big problem. That being said, there are going to be at least a couple more restocks between now and the new year, so you should remain vigilant.

Here is the latest update for every major U.S. retailer.

GameStop Xbox Series X Restock

According to reliable console tracker Matt Swider, GameStop will be holding an in-store restock event for the Xbox Series X on Thursday, December 23.

There was recently one of these for the PS5, so it makes sense that there would be one for Microsoft's console as well.

Swider is reporting that the list of participating locations for this Xbox event will be the same as they were for the PS5 equivalent on December 17. As such, you will only be able to find the console in less than half of the U.S. (the lucky regions including New York, California and Florida).

If you live within travelling distance of one of the participating stores, then you will be able to pick up a standalone Xbox Series X for $499.

Walmart Xbox Series X Restock

Walmart coordinated an Xbox Series X restock at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, December 13.

Of course, those supplies were inevitably exhausted within minutes, and you can no longer add the console to your basket. As always, there are some pre-owned Xbox units for sale on the website, but these are typically overpriced (with some going for as much as $888).

With that in mind, we advise that you just wait for the next official drop at Walmart. To be kept abreast of any developments in this area, make sure to follow dedicated console trackers like @GYXdeals and @mattswider on Twitter and turn on notifications.

Amazon Xbox Series X Restock

Amazon was last selling the Xbox Series X on Thursday, December 16 and has not restocked since then.

On the bright side, the marketplace has officially confirmed that there will be another PS5 drop sometime between now and December 31, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for that.

Target Xbox Series X Restock

Target stopped coordinating nationwide Xbox Series X drops several months ago.

Nowadays, the retailer lets its individual branches release units according to their own schedules. This makes it very difficult to forecast when the console will next be available in your local area, without manually checking the inventory levels of every single store in America.

To see if any Target locations near you are selling the Xbox Series X, head over to the retail chain's website and use the ZIP-code field. This will enable you to narrow down your search results so that they are more relevant to you.

Microsoft Store Xbox Series X Restock

Microsoft's official storefront recently sent out emails to lucky shoppers, inviting them to purchase one of the Halo Infinite edition Xbox Series X units.

If you are wondering why you did not receive one of these, it might be because the notifications only went out to customers who had opted in to receive marketing communications from Microsoft.

If you have not already done so, you can update your account preferences in relation to this here (there's a box you can tick right at the top of the page). This will not guarantee that you are invited to restock events in the future, but it's the only way to even be considered for them.

Newegg Xbox Series X Restock

The Xbox Series X and PS5 were both featured in a Newegg Shuffle on December 17, but they are absent from today's (December 20) draw.

It's always worth checking these daily lotteries to see if there are any consoles up for grabs, as this is how Newegg distributes its most in-demand electronics.

Alternatively, you can browse elsewhere on the website, as the outlet does allow third parties to trade, and you might just be able to find a used Xbox Series X.

If you do, make sure that you don't pay an excessive amount, as opportunistic scalpers will often charge extortionate prices, and this only gets worse around the holidays.

Antonline Xbox Series X Restock

It's been quite a while since the Xbox Series X was last in stock at Antonline.

However, if you are happy to get the less-powerful Series S model for Christmas instead, then you can get one of those in a special bundle right now.

The all-digital hardware will ship with various microtransaction codes for games like Rocket League and Fortnite, as well as a uniquely patterned Forza Horizon 5 controller. If you are interested, this bundle will set you back $359.99.

Sam's Club Xbox Series X Restock

A very similar bundle is available from Sam's Club too. Here, the Xbox Series S come with some V-bucks to add to your wallet in Fortnite, 1,000 credits for Rocket League, a spare red controller, and a wired headset.

This deal is slightly more expensive than the one at Antonline (listed at $399.99) but it does come with additional items.

Unfortunately, the Xbox Series X remains unavailable at Sam's Club.

Best Buy Xbox Series X Restock

Best Buy is also selling the Xbox Series S. Rather than offering it as part of yet another bundle, the merchant is listing the console as a standalone item for its recommended manufacturer's price of $299.

If you are not an avid Fortnite or Rocket League fan, then this might be a better deal for you.

Costco Xbox Series X Restock

Generally speaking, Costco does not restock on gaming consoles often. The last time that it did was towards the end of October (when there was a small PS5 drop), but since then things have been very quiet.

As such, the retailer's Xbox Series X inventory remains totally depleted.
