Xbox Series X Restock Update for Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon, Target and More

There has been a surge in both Xbox Series X and PS5 restocks lately, and this trend is going to continue as we get closer to Black Friday.

Many outlets, including GameStop and Walmart, have already launched their respective tech deals for the event (with video games, peripherals and consoles all on offer) but there are still more to come.

With that said, it's going to be a very busy time and you will need to be vigilant for surprise drops happening at short notice. To help you get ahead of the curve, we have prepared a list of tips that should help you add a next-gen console to your basket when the moment comes.

If future restocks are announced, you should consult this handy guide for advice on how to get ready, troubleshoot various website issues and navigate the checkout process.

In the meantime, here is the latest Xbox Series X restock update for every major U.S. retailer.

Walmart Xbox Series X Restock

After building anticipation with a number of early deals, Walmart's Black Friday event officially kicked off on Monday, November 22.

Both the Xbox Series X and PS5 were available as part of this flash sale. However, the new supplies were reserved exclusively for Walmart + customers and were off limits to regular shoppers.

While it was reportedly a successful drop (with thousands finally getting a hold of the consoles) it is now over, and you can no longer buy either gaming system from Walmart.

It's unlikely that there will be a second restock before Black Friday, but Newsweek will continue to monitor the situation just in case.

Best Buy Xbox Series X Restock

Best Buy was also selling the Xbox Series X on November 22, but the units in question were only available as part of the retailer's "All Access" program.

In a nutshell, this basically meant that you would have to commit to paying off your new console in monthly installments, rather than in just a single transaction.

The scheme is not ideal for everybody, especially since the deals themselves are often quite costly (as was the case here, with a $839.79 bundle).

Not that this question of price matters now anyway, as there are no Xbox Series X units left at Best Buy.

Amazon Xbox Series X Restock

Amazon has yet to announce when it will be releasing its Xbox Series X units for Black Friday, but it is sure to happen before the end of this week.

To help narrow it down a little further, some console trackers are forecasting that the restock will occur on Black Friday itself (and not earlier like it did at Best Buy and Walmart).

GameStop Xbox Series X Restock

Console tracker @LordOfRestocks has predicted that GameStop will be selling the Xbox Series X on Thanksgiving.

These reports have been corroborated by other reputable analysts and the information is very specific (lending it further credence). According to the tweet, the drop will occur sometime between 5 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET on November 25.

Newegg Xbox Series X Restock

There are no Xbox Series X bundles featured in Newegg shuffle draw on November 23.

Outside of the daily lottery, you can always try your luck browsing elsewhere on the merchant's marketplace. Of course, if you choose to do this, then you will need to be careful so that you do not get ripped off.

Newegg allows independent third parties to trade on its website, which can lead to opportunistic scalpers charging inflated prices for used goods. On that note, there is currently an Xbox Series X listed here for $975 and a Halo Infinite limited-edition console going for an extortionate $1,449.

Target Xbox Series X Restock

While Target still coordinates nationwide drops for the PS5, its approach to the Xbox Series X is very different.

Rather than waiting until all of its branches are ready to offload supplies in unison, the chain now favors localized restocks.

In other words, the Xbox Series X could be sold out in New York, but available in a Chicago store at the exact same time. It's just up to the individual outlet.

To find out if there are any Xbox Series X units available at a Target location near you, head over to the retailer's website and use the ZIP-code field to narrow down your search results.

Microsoft Store Xbox Series X Restock

The Xbox Series X is not available from the Microsoft Store right now, but it is safe to assume that the console manufacturer will have something up its sleeve for Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Sam's Club Xbox Series X Restock

Sam's Club did organize an Xbox Series X restock on Wednesday, November 17, but the new units were quickly snapped up by eager shoppers.

If you don't mind settling for a less powerful system, then the Xbox Series S is still available from the retailer. This cheaper model ships in a $379.98 bundle with a PDP media remote and a wired headset.

Antonline Xbox Series X Restock

Antonline was selling the Halo Infinite edition Xbox Series X last week, but those units were depleted extraordinarily fast, even by next-gen console standards.

As such, the only Xbox system that is left at Antonline is the Xbox Series S, which you can order in a couple of different bundles on the website. These are each priced at $364.99 and come with a wired gaming headset and a uniquely patterned controller.

Costco Xbox Series X Restock

Likewise, Costco did have the Halo Infinite edition Xbox Series X in stock last week, but its inventory has now been thoroughly exhausted.
