Watch 'Particular' Dog's Tantrum After Housekeeper Dared Fold His Blanket

Some people are very specific about making the bed, but as it turns out, our four-legged friends can be just as exact when it comes to their beds.

There's no doubt that Bowie, the 4-year-old English cream retriever, loves his bed, but if there's anything he loves even more than that, it's his blanket. So, when he notices that his blanket has been moved or altered in any way, he will immediately "have a tantrum" until it's been rectified.

Bowie's owner, Sarah Newlon from Brooklyn, New York, knows how fussy he gets, telling Newsweek that he's always been "very particular" about his bed, blankets and toys. While she will usually keep his bedding exactly how he likes it, the housekeeper doesn't always do the same, which was the reason for his latest tantrum.

In a TikTok video (@nycgolden), Newlon captured her dog's frustration when he noticed that his blanket had dared been folded neatly, rather than "laying flat over the bed." Bowie didn't hold back, as he started barking and watching his owners keenly to make sure they rearranged the blanket exactly how he wanted it.

Since the clip was shared on April 24, it has left many TikTokers in hysterics, with more than 3.9 million views and 532,300 likes.

"I usually fix his blankets before he notices, but every now and then, he spots it first and lets me know right way what happened," Newlon said.

"What [we] perceive as a small change, such as folding his blanket on his bed rather than leaving it draped over messily, he will notice it and he communicates in the most endearing way until all is back to normal. His blanket is his, and he doesn't want anyone to change that or mess it up, whether it's me or our housekeeper."

Newlon is more than happy to accept her pedantic pup, and if there's ever something wrong with his setup, it's fixed instantly. She sees this as a sign of "how much comfort" Bowie gets from his security blanket and his dog bed.

The social media reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, and it turns out that Bowie isn't the only four-legged perfectionist, as many fellow dog owners shared their own similar experiences.

"The response has incredibly sweet and positive. The dog lovers of TikTok all seem to relate to the video and love seeing the communication between a dog and his human," Newlon told Newsweek.

"We love reading similar stories from other dog owners and seeing all the love toward Bowie. We know he's special, and it's fun to share those funny moments with others online."

With over 2,000 comments on the hilarious clip already, many social media users were quick to defend Bowie for being so precise about his blanket being moved. One comment reads: "He needs turndown service."

Another person joked: "These things used to be wolves, wild animals. Now he's upset because his blankie is set up wrong."

While another TikToker wrote: "please tell me you showed this to the housekeeper so the mistake won't be made again."
