Neighbors on a quiet road in a small town can rest easy knowing one guard dog monitoring all who come and go on the street takes her "paw-trol" duties very seriously.
In an April 27 TikTok video, user @neelam.a.das is seen driving down the street when she spotted a dog slowly inching toward the middle of the road. She slowed down and rolled into the neighborhood checkpoint, as she'd done plenty of times before.
It wasn't a typical checkpoint that drivers see. Instead, this driver was greeted by a dog named Daisy who took it upon herself to observe the cars driving down her road. She is a self-proclaimed neighborhood watchdog, and to say this guard dog takes her job seriously would be an understatement.
Daisy stoically sat in the middle of the road, forcing the driver to stop. She stared into the woman's car and inspected the driver. Maybe she was wondering who was daring to use this road without her permission.

It was a standoff that prevented the driver from moving forward. Daisy wouldn't budge. Not even the driver calling Daisy's name could affect the dog's seriousness. But can anyone blame her? She was doing her due diligence in keeping the neighborhood safe.
Luckily, the driver didn't seem to mind Daisy's hard work, as the caption reads: "Just the bestest neighbourhood paw-trol I could ask for."
Daisy never ventures too far from her home, the TikTok creator said in the comments section. She informed those worried about Daisy's safety that they live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. So people are well aware of this doggy checkpoint. Plus, there are signs telling drivers to slow down.
Newsweek reached out to @neelam.a.das via TikTok for additional information.
'Works So Hard'
The TikTok video has over 712,900 views, 77,300 likes and nearly 600 comments. People loved the dog's dedication to keeping the neighborhood safe.
"It's 'paw patrol,' please show her your registration," commented one viewer.
Another added: "Daisy requires scritches and snuggles before safe passage can be permitted... it's a fair tax - she works so hard!"
A third person wrote what the dog was thinking: "She's like, 'You think this is funny, but you know the rules. We do this every day, lady.'"
Even the driver applauded Daisy's dedication to the job. She wrote: "The hardest working pup on the block!"
