Jason Kelce has reportedly scored his first touchdown off the field and accepted a job at ESPN on the Monday Night Countdown pregame show, which will be his first following his March 2024 retirement announcement.
This news emerged two months after his exit from the NFL, which was reported by Andrew Marchand at The Athletic, on Monday, April 29. While he allegedly accepted a position at ESPN, the report claims that multiple other networks have been vying for his talents, including NBC and CBS. Additionally, it was disclosed that Robert Griffin III may be departing the Monday Night Countdown pregame show.
However, this development will seemingly have no impact on Jason's weekly podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, which he co-hosts with his brother, Travis Kelce, a current player for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kelce has not shared the news himself, but several fans are ecstatic about his debut as a sports host.
"Let's go! Kelce is going to be great!" one user wrote via X (formerly known as Twitter). Another one said, "Looks like I'll be watching every Monday night game now."

It appears that both Kelce brothers are fully immersing themselves in the world of entertainment. In addition to their podcast, reports have surfaced that Travis will be hosting the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on Amazon Prime, a spinoff of the classic Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?.
As Jason announced his retirement, he delivered an emotional speech expressing gratitude to everyone who had supported him throughout his journey — leaving not a dry eye in the room. Of particular note, he extended heartfelt thanks to his wife, Kylie Kelce.
