Celebrity 'Un-Endorses' Biden After Israel Weapons Update

Celebrity Michael Rapaport announced this week that he was officially "un-endorsing" U.S. President Joe Biden following an update on a pause of weapons to Israel.

"I'm officially un-endorsing #JoeBiden I did so much work on behalf of this soft serve ice cream eating MF, I'm done. #unendorsed," Rapaport wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

In a video shared to X, Rapaport called the president "cadaver Joe Biden" and criticized Biden for not sending weapons to Israel amid their ongoing war with Hamas militants, in an expletive-ridden rant.

On October 7, the Palestinian militant group Hamas launched an attack on southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking over 200 hostages. Israel subsequently launched a war against Hamas in Gaza that has killed over 34,000 people, the Associated Press reported, citing Gaza health officials. Since October 7, a war between Israel and Hamas has continued, with the U.S. supplying Israel with several military aid packages.

"Me, Michael Rapaport, I'm not voting for you, you're not getting my vote," Rapaport said to Biden in the video, adding that many other Jewish Americans are unlikely to vote for Biden.

The comments by Rapaport come shortly after Biden confirmed reports that the U.S. was pausing a shipment of weapons to Israel amid their ongoing war and an offensive operation in the city of Rafah.

During an interview with CNN this week, Biden said that the U.S. will not send Israel weapons "that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities."

"I made it clear that if they go into Rafah—they haven't gone into Rafah yet—if they go into Rafah, I'm not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with problems," Biden said.

"We're not going to supply the weapons and the artillery shells used," Biden said, adding that "civilians have been killed in Gaza."

Biden continued, "We're going to continue to make sure Israel is secure in terms of Iron Dome and their ability to respond to attacks that came out in the Middle East recently...But it's just wrong."

U.S. Defense Department Secretary Lloyd Austin also confirmed the U.S. was pausing "one shipment of high payload munitions" while speaking to the Senate Appropriations Committee.

On Monday, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) announced it was launching an operation into the city of Rafah saying they were "conducting targeted strikes against Hamas terror targets in eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip."

Several U.S. lawmakers criticized the Biden administration for pausing a shipment of weapons, such as House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik.

"It's just another example where President Joe Biden has failed to support our most precious ally: Israel," Stefanik said while appearing on Fox News' Fox & Friends. "Congress passed supplemental funding and military aid to Israel and it is outrageous and is not complying with congressional intent, the fact that the Biden administration is holding these back."

This is also not the first time Rapaport has been critical of Biden's handling of the Israeli-Hamas war. In an episode of his podcast last November, he criticized Biden over anti-Semitism in the U.S. and suggested that he could vote for Trump in the next election.

"If it comes down to pig d*** Donald Trump and Smokin' Joe Biden, I'm sorry. I am sorry. Voting for pig d*** Donald Trump is on the table. I'm sorry!" Rapaport said.

The Biden campaign declined to comment on the record.
