Meghan McCain wasn't the least bit surprised by the amount of "executive time" President Donald Trump indulged in over the last few months. The View co-host suggested many Americans are well aware of how much time the president spent doing leisurely activities—like watching cable news—simply based on his rampant tweets pertaining to TV every day.

"We know in real time that he's watching morning shows like Fox & Friends because he tweets in response to it in the morning," McCain said as the women of The View discussed Trump's schedule, which was leaked to and later published by Axios on Sunday. "Some of this we can intuit just by reading his Twitter and having a brain."

According to the White House schedule, "executive time" made up about 60 percent of the last three months of Trump's schedule, which was considered an excessive amount of personal time compared to the schedules of former presidents George Bush and Barack Obama, both of whom typically started taking meetings early in the morning.

The 95-page document, which included detailed hour-for-hour accounts of the president's daily schedule, was leaked to Axios by an unidentified White House staffer.

While some of The View hosts argued executive time didn't necessarily mean Trump was spending his private moments handling his personal business, McCain wasn't so convinced. "Maybe in some Never-never land he's speaking with national security people about God knows what, but Occam's Razor? The likelihood of that, I think he's probably watching cable news and making phone calls," she said.

She added: "When you become a public servant the idea and onus is you get up in the morning and start working for the American people. It doesn't take a genius to understand what he's probably doing in the morning. He's obsessed with cable news. He's spending—in my opinion—too much time watching it."
