Patrick Mahomes' Mom's Cryptic Message Goes Viral

Patrick Mahomes' mom has gone viral after sharing a mysterious post to social media.

Mahomes may be the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback, but when it comes to winning hearts, mom Randi Martin is the real MVP.

The event planner has developed a devoted social media following of her own, with 180,000 followers on Instagram and more than 93,000 on X, formerly Twitter. So when Martin shared a sorrowful post on Wednesday, fans quickly became concerned.

"Just really feel like crying..." the mom of three wrote on X. "Not my favorite day my heart hurts... tomorrow will be a new brighter day."

Newsweek has reached out to Martin for comment via Instagram.

Since being shared, Martin's message has received more than 240,000 views, with followers quick to comfort the 51-year-old.

"Sending hugs to you," commented Tammy Allen.

"Hang in there! Take some time for you and forget about the rest of the world for a moment," said Matt Dobbins.

"Got a lot to be grateful for, remember that in the hard times," wrote @dontrader444.

"As bad as your day was, you're still here," said ChiShan. "You made it through and that's all you need to do."

Although Martin didn't reveal the reason for her heartbreak, fans suspected it may be linked to her late mother, Debbie Bates Martin. The 72-year-old died in April 2023 following a series of health issues and can be seen with Martin in her Instagram and X profile photos.

"If this is in regards to your sweet Momma, I lost my [grandma] and Aunt over 10 [years ago] now and STILL have my crying moments and it's ok, we will always love and miss them!!" wrote Kate Voorhies.

"I lost my mom to cancer. It has been 22 years now but still feels like yesterday," said Julie Wilcox.

"I'm thinking of you on this difficult day," commented Tami Erickson. "I know it's hard. She's watching over you, my sweet friend."

Along with Patrick Mahomes, Martin is mom to social media influencer Jackson Mahomes with her first husband, baseball star Patrick Mahomes Sr. She is also mom to 12-year-old daughter Mia from a different relationship.

The Texas native is very active on social media, regularly sharing snaps of her three children, as well as Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany and their two children, Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick "Bronze" Lavon III, 1.

Brands have taken notice of Martin's star power. Following the Chiefs' Super Bowl win in February, the social media sensation promoted a limited-edition football on her accounts, offering a discount for fans who used the code MAHOMES.

Martin also has her own Cameo account in which fans can pay $35 for a personalized voice message from the football mama.
