Senior Golden Retriever Lets Owner Know When He Needs Help Getting to Bed

A dog owner has melted hearts all over the internet after revealing how her senior pup lets her know that he needs help getting on the bed at night.

In a heartwarming clip shared to TikTok earlier this week by @makenziecann, the senior golden retriever named Raffi can be seen standing by the side of the bed, looking at his owner as if asking for a helping hand.

His owner then immediately picks him up, placing him onto the bed while he wags his tail in excitement as if thanking his owner for understanding.

The video comes with a text overlay that reads: "How my senior dog lets me know he wants help getting into bed." The video's caption says: "I think Raffi approves of the new comforter and pillows."

Newsweek reached out to @makenziecann for comment via email. We could not verify the details of the case.

Animals don't experience time the same we do. Dogs are considered senior when they're around 5 years old or 7 years old if they are small-sized.

Just like humans, though, their health may start deteriorating as they age. That's why, if you want them to live a long and happy life, you should make sure they are in the best physical and mental shape.

Indiana-based Freeland Animal Hospital writes on its website in an article that was published in 2018 that owners should get orthopedic beds for senior pets to help make them as comfortable as possible.
