Shock at How Much Swedish Woman Sounds Like Retro Cartoon Character

A 25-year-old woman originally from Sweden has shocked the internet because of how much her voice sounds like a Disney cartoon character when she tries to speak with a Swedish accent.

In a post shared on TikTok in February, under the username @dolifewithclara, she says: "Everyone is saying that I sound just like Stitch when I speak with a Swedish accent. I don't, but I'll do it one time: 'Ohana means family.'"

The hilarious clip comes with a caption that reads: "When all of TikTok say my Swedish accent sounds like Stitch." It is followed by: "Still think I sound like a fairy. Oh and no that isn't my actual accent, but it was when I was 15."

The poster, Clara Göthberg, told Newsweek: "I was making fun of Swedish accents, being from Sweden myself, on TikTok, and it became a thing. Someone commented that I sounded like Stitch when I speak with my Swedish accent so I did that video and it blew up!"

Movie database Rotten Tomatoes rates Lilo & Stitch as the 27th best Disney movie ever, with an 87 percent approval rate. The critic consensus describes it as being "edgier than traditional Disney fare."

First on the list is Pinocchio, with a 100 percent rating, followed by Zootopia and One Hundred and One Dalmatians, with a 98 percent approval rate.

Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Moana come in fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively, followed by Aladdin, Dumbo, Fantasia, and Beauty and the Beast.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 14 million views and 1.1 million likes on the platform.

One user, Domino, commented: "It's where your tongue is sitting when you say certain words - it's not consistently Stitch but they're relating the tiny accents."

CaptRandCom posted: "You need to do the whole thing! 'Ohana means family; and family means nobody is left behind or forgotten. This is my family. It's little & broken, but still good. Yeah, still good."

Another user, Kayleenartlover wrote: "It's how you said 'means' that E sound is what sticks out as sounding like Stitch." And Zac Pricener added: "Wow, it's so cool that we got to see this sneak peek of Stitch from the live-action movie."
