Woman Can't Believe Sister Wants To Crash Vacation—but There's a Twist

Family is family, one woman says—no matter what marriage or babies bring.

A video posted to TikTok by Chloe Bounds (@omgitschloeb) went viral for revealing her little sister's hilarious insistence on attending her family vacation—which was only meant to include Bounds, her husband and their one-year-old daughter. Bounds, 28, spoke to Newsweek about the surprise addition to their Orlando vacation. Since it was posted, the video has received over 1.8 million views and 210,000 likes.

"Do you guys want to know what it's like having a sister?" Bounds said in the video. She went on to explain that she had posted online about going on vacation, and nearly three minutes later received a call from her younger sister, Kat, asking if she could come.

Kat said she would buy her own plane ticket, and that she had been wanting to go to "Harry Potter World" again.

"I was like, 'Kat, are you really trying to impede on our family vacation?'" Bounds said. "Like, no, you can't—" she was interrupted by a clip of Kat and her husband in matching "Hufflepuff" sweatshirts at Universal Orlando.

Bounds told Newsweek she wasn't planning on having her sister come, but wasn't resistant to the idea once she asked.

"We were just planning the vacation for me, my husband, and our one-year-old daughter...my little sister instantly called me to ask about it," she said. "[Kat] said, 'If I bought my own flight, could I come too?' I laughed and said sure."

Bounds said she moved away from her home state six years ago and doesn't see her family very often: "Truthfully any chance to see them, I get excited about."

The trip, as indicated in the clip of Kat and Bounds' husband, went wonderfully, she said. Kat's presence—though only for half of the trip because of her college courses—was welcomed by all involved. This isn't the first time that Kat has been an integral part of the new family, though.

"She actually lived with us for a few months during 2020 when COVID hit, so her and my husband, Addison, bonded a lot during that time," Bounds said. "I think they'd both say they have a true sibling relationship even though they're in-laws with each other."

Kat and Addison's bond seemed unbreakable given the matching sweatshirts in Bounds' video, which she clarified was only for the two of them. "It's the matching sweatshirts for me when no one even suggested I get one too," she wrote in the caption. Kat stays unashamed of her position in her sister's family—she's not afraid to tell the world, on- and offline, that she's an important member.

"Kat was my maid-of-honor at our wedding," Bounds said. "In her wedding speech, she started it with 'Hi everyone. For those who don't know me, I'm Chloe's little sister—and Addison's best friend.'"
