Adele has insisted that her Las Vegas residency—which was postponed at the last minute in January—will "100 percent" happen this year.
The pop superstar shared a tearful video on January 20 in which she told fans that the series of shows that were scheduled to kick off at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino the next day would be rescheduled because of COVID-19 issues.
At the time, the "Easy On Me" hitmaker explained that production for the 24-date show, called Weekends With Adele, wasn't ready because her team had been "absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID."
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in the U.K., which is set to air on Friday night, the British-born singer said that the rescheduled dates will go ahead in the coming months.
She said: "I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time. I regret that I kept going until that late in the day. It would have been a really half-a**** show and I can't do that.
"People will see straight through me up on the stage and know I didn't want to be doing it. I've never done anything like that in my life and I'm not going to start now.
"We are now working our a**** off, but I don't want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready. The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can't in case we are not ready in time.
"It is absolutely 100 percent happening this year. It has to happen this year because I've got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!"
Speaking of babies, Adele, who is dating sports agent Rich Paul, also told the BBC show's titular host Graham Norton that she was hoping to have another child next year. She shares 9-year-old son Angelo with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki.
When quizzed by Norton about the dazzling ring on her finger—which sparked engagement rumors when she debuted it at Tuesday night's BRIT Awards in London, the star coyly replied: "If I was, would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn't?"
Norton also asked the Los Angeles-based singer if she plans to step away from the spotlight again once her Las Vegas residency is done.
"I definitely will but I am trying to make a conscious effort to stop being so anal with my privacy," she responded. "I'm trying not to be two completely different versions of myself. It is exhausting switching on and off.
"I will be disappearing in terms of my music, but you might see a glimpse of me now and then and I won't be in complete hiding.
"It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children—I only just feel like I've caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son."
