Bryce Harper's Home Run Predicted by Fan in Viral Video: "Goodbye!"

A fan's video of Philadelphia Phillies' Bryce Harper hitting a home run off his first pitch, has gone viral with many loving the celebrations of his premonition.

TikTok user BrendanCohen8 posted his clip of the big hit at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia as the Phillies took a 2-1 lead in the World Series against the Houston Astros.

Speaking to the camera as Harper got ready to take the pitch, Brendan told his followers that the ball was going out of the park for a home run.

With him turning the camera back on to the action, there were wild celebrations when Harper duly provided, with Brendan screaming "goodbye," as the ball headed into the crowd.

The ball was measured as flying 402 feet and had an exit velocity from the bat of 103.9 miles per hour.

The two-run homer was Harper's sixth home run in his 14th game of this postseason.

In the clip posted on TikTok, Brendan is first seen talking to the camera, saying: "First pitch, home run to Bryce Harper, I'm calling it right now, it is going to happen right here.

"First pitch... first pitch"

A friend with him is then heard saying "Will the first pitch ever be thrown?" as there are delays on the field as the players make sure they are set right.

Lance McCullers Jr., who had the indignity of being the first pitcher to give up five home runs in a World Series game, is then seen sending his first ball hurtling towards Harper, who then duly sends it sailing into the crowd.

As soon as the thwack of the bat on ball is heard and it is seen flying through the sky, Brendan excitedly shouts: "Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye!"

The camera is shaking vigorously as the celebrations in the crowd continued, with Brendan exclaiming: "Woah, woah, I called it, woo-hoo! Let's go, let's go!"

The Seattle Mariners were quick to comment on the video, asking Brendan to give a premonition about their next season.

They wrote in the comments: "Say the mariners are winning the 2023 world series right now."

There were many who were loving the video with one commenting: "The immediate 'goodbye' was so sick"

Another pointed out that instead of the video, there could have been money won, writing: "If homie placed a bet on that instead of recording he would've been at the game for free"

There were a number who were skeptical about the validity of the clip, with one pointing out: "Nah he rewinded it guys don't let him fool u"

Despite this doubt, it is true to say that the video has taken off and despite only having just over 600 followers, the clip of his premonition and wild celebrations has reached millions, being widely shared on social media.

The Phillies struck for two more runs in the second inning with solo homers by Alec Bohm and Brandon Marsh, leading them to a 7-0 victory.

The following day, it was a different story as the Astros bounced back with a historic 5-0 no-hitter win which leveled the series once again at 2-2 ahead of Thursday's fifth game, at Philadelphia again, in the seven-game series.
