Dakota Johnson Gibes Donald Trump With Taylor Swift Joke on 'SNL'

Dakota Johnson made a gibe at former president Donald Trump during her Saturday Night Live monologue last night.

The actress kicked off her monologue by recalling the last time she hosted the show, not long after SNL's 40th anniversary special in 2015.

She said she had been in the audience of the special, before a photo from the event appeared on screen.

"Look at this collection of people. Sarah Palin, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and look who's sitting right behind me," Johnson said, before the camera zoomed in to show Trump.

"It's just crazy to be standing so close to someone who would become the most powerful person in America," she said, as the camera focused on Taylor Swift sitting in front of her.

Johnson then went on to say that she has been doing press interviews for her new Marvel film, Madame Web, but is "just not good at talking to journalists."

"I think the big problem is that, uh, I say stuff and then they write it down," she said. "And it's really unfair."

She recalled not taking interviews seriously even as a child before showing a clip of her as a 7-year-old mocking her father, actor Don Johnson, while he spoke to reporters.

Johnson said the episode was a reunion for her and musical guest Justin Timberlake as they had both been in the 2010 film The Social Network.

Moments later, Timberlake appeared on stage.

"What are you doing here? Are you lost?" Johnson asked him.

"I heard my name. I thought that was my cue," he said.

Timberlake then eagerly offered to be in sketches if Johnson wanted. "I have hosted before," he said, while mouthing "five times" to the audience.

"Yeah, well, that was 10 years ago," Johnson said. "Anyway, I'm so happy you chose my show for your comeback."

"Comeback? Is that what we're calling it?" Timberlake asked.

"Yeah, comeback in a good way," Johnson said.

"Oh, OK, I see what this is. This is where we make a joke like, 'First, he was bringing sexy back, and now he's bringing coming back," Timberlake said, as the audience burst into laughter.

Timberlake then wished her luck before reminding her that he was there if she needed him.

Moments later, Jimmy Fallon—a former SNL cast member—also crashed Johnson's monologue, dressed as Barry Gibb from The Bee Gees.

"Are we doing it?" he said, while Timberlake made a "cut" gesture behind Johnson's back.

"I'm here to say, 'break a leg,'" Fallon told Johnson. "These are my normal clothes," he added, before jumping off stage with Timberlake.
