First Responders Can Get Free Sandwich at Firehouse Subs This Week

First responders have a special deal waiting for them at their local Firehouse Subs this week.

In honor of National First Responders Day on October 28, Firehouse Subs will be offering a buy-one-get-one deal to first responders all week long.

"Founded by two firefighting brothers nearly three decades ago, Firehouse Subs is recognizing the commitment and sacrifices first responders make daily with a special offer in honor of National First Responders Day on Oct. 28," the company said.

Starting on Monday until Sunday, October 29, first responders in uniform who show their valid ID will get a free medium sub with the purchase of an additional medium sub. Keep in mind that the deal is only available in stores.

Firehouse Subs has also launched a new sandwich in support of Hawaii first responders and wildfire victims.

A portion of every purchase of the limited-time King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw sandwich will go toward the Hawaii Disaster Relief Fund. This goes to support recovery programs across Lahaina and Maui, which suffered from killing at least 99 people.

Each sandwich has slow-smoked pulled pork, melted pepper jack cheese, and a tangy coleslaw between a King's Hawaiian Bun.

All throughout the month, Firehouse Subs is also letting customers purchase medallions for $1 of $5 in support of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has provided $79 million to first responders across the country.

At the end of the month, Firehouse Subs rewards members can score triple points on their purchases from Monday, October 30 through Tuesday, October 31.

Earlier this year, Firehouse Subs made headlines when it reintroduced its Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Sub. For $6, customers get a twist on three classic Italian dishes: meatball sub, pepperoni pizza and garlic bread.

Every sub comes with Italian meatballs, marinara, extra provolone, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning on toasted garlic bread.

Firehouse Subs also unveiled a meat lover's paradise in its Smokin' Triple Stack Sub earlier this year.

The sandwich is packed with slow-smoked beef brisket, smoked turkey breast and Virginia honey ham before being topped with melted cheddar, slaw, barbecue sauce and mayo on a toasted roll.

Unlock More Savings This Month

There are plenty more deals available this month, and many of them center around the Halloween holiday. Many restaurant chains have even launched their own Halloween-themed snacks and beverages.

At McAlister's Deli, customers will earn 50 percent off the chain's specialty beverage called the Witch's Brew, "a lemonade made with cane sugar, lemon juice, and caramel apple syrup," a spokesperson said for the company.

The deal is live from October 28 to Halloween for all those enrolled in McAlister's loyalty program.

There's also a limited-edition Halloween Cookie Tray that comes with 52 assorted mini cookies along with Halloween decorations and candies for $24.99.

Sheetz is also debuting three new Halloween-themed drinks called the Vanilla Thriller Cold Brew, Candy Bag Milkshake and Transfuzion Refresher.

The cold brew contains salted caramel and spiced brown sugar flavors and costs $3.19 while the Candy Bag Milkshake includes a salted caramel flavor, with swirls of caramel, chocolate and peanut butter topped with whipped cream and cookies and cream.

On the other hand, the Transfuzion Refresher seltzer drink has a white chocolate raspberry layered taste. All drinks are available for purchase until November 1.

Papa John's also took advantage of the spooky season with its Jack-O-Lantern Pizza, launching in stores on October 23.

The specialty pie features a thin crust with Papa John's signature sauce with vine-ripened tomatoes, real cheese, a pepperoni border and pepperoni smiley face with triangle-shaped eye sockets and black olives.

Those who crave a burrito on Halloween will also be in luck as Chipotle offers its special 'Boorito' for $6 on digital orders on October 31.

To score the deal, you must be a rewards member and use the promo code "BOORITO." You can only use the deal once per transaction, and it's exclusively available on digital orders.
