WizKid triumphed at the 15th Headies Music Awards, collecting a total of four awards, including the coveted Album of the Year trophy for his critically acclaimed album Made in Lagos.
The Nigerian superstar was one of several artists from the West African country to be honored at the award ceremony.
WizKid, who collaborated with Tems on the global smash hit "Essence," was a special guest at the award show, which was also attended by Davido, Rema and Tiwa Savage, who featured on Beyoncé's The Lion King: The Gift album.
For the first time in the award's history, the event took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Sunday, September 4. In previous years, the ceremony has been held in Nigeria.
The theme for Headies Music Awards 2022 was Join the Movement and there were a total of 38 award categories, ranging from Best Rap Single to Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year.
