Video of Herschel Walker Handed Condoms on Stage Viewed 700k Times

Videos of Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker being handed condoms while on the campaign trail have gone viral.

Clips posted on Twitter by The Recount and former senior executive at NBC Universal Mike Sington show Jason Selvig, of the political comedy duo The Good Liars, attempting to hand over contraception to the former NFL star during a campaign stop in Macon, Georgia.

Walker can be seen briefly talking to Selvig before walking away and refusing to take the condoms.

The video posted by The Recount has been viewed on Twitter more than 235,000 times, with Sington's clip watched over 465,000 times.

Selvig also shared a photo of the incident onto Twitter, with the caption: "We tried to give Herschel Walker condoms today (for obvious reasons)."

The videos were posted after allegations that Walker paid for his then girlfriend to have an abortion in 2009. The woman, who Walker claims he never met, is reported to have later given birth to one of Walker's four children, three of whom he never publicly acknowledged until his Senate campaign.

Christian Walker, the 23-year-old son of the Republican Senate candidate, has repeatedly attacked his father over the string of scandals which have dogged the Senate candidate over the past few months.

On October 5, Christian Walker tweeted "Wear a condom, damn" after the reports broke that the woman whose abortion Herschel Walker allegedly paid for went on to give birth to one of his other children.

The 23-year-old, who has hundreds of thousands of followers on social media, also posted a video onto Twitter saying he is now speaking up against his father's behavior, having previously "stayed silent while the atrocities against my mom were downplayed."

"I stayed silent when it came out that my father, Herschel Walker, had all these random kids all across the country—none of whom he raised," he said. "Family values, people? He has four different kids, four different women, he wasn't in the house raising one of them."

Elsewhere, Herschel Walker has denied claims that he supports a national abortion ban in all circumstances, despite calling for it earlier in his campaign.

"It wasn't a change. I said I support life," Herschel Walker told NBC. "Georgia is a state that respects life. I'll be a senator that protects life. And what I said then, I said I would support life, I will always support life, but I said I also support what the people voice it."

"The people's voice is the Georgia heartbeat bill, which has exceptions in it," he continued. "I never said I didn't have any exceptions. I said I'm for life. And then I said, you know, the governor has a great bill. The heartbeat bill is a great bill. It has exceptions in it."

Walker has been contacted for comment.
