'Jon & Kate Plus 8' Clip Resurfaces—'Poor Guy'

Jon and Kate Gosselin rose to fame in early 2007 with the hit TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The pair allowed cameras into their home and showed viewers what it was like to live with eight children: twin girls born in 2000, and the sextuplets they welcomed into their family in 2004.

The Gosselins were married from 1999 until 2009, and following their very public split, they remained easily recognizable by fans and, from time to time, still make headlines. Kate also had a stint on ABC's Dancing with the Stars in 2010.

She was voted out in the fourth week of the contest, having failed to dance up a storm on the show.

Now, an old clip has resurfaced from their TLC show that has fans feeling sorry for Jon.

Shared on X, formerly Twitter, by account @PicturesFoLder with the caption "Poor guy," the 10-second video showed the two during an interview with Jon at the receiving end of one of Kate's negative comments. The clip had been viewed 14.8 million times by users of the app at time of this story's publishing.

The couple can be seen next to each other on a sofa during the interview, with Kate saying: "she was probably..." before stopping abruptly, changing her stream of thought and looking swiftly to her right to glare at Jon.

With her arms folded, she told her then-husband: "I'm sorry, can you stop breathing so loud honey?"

An awkward silence followed before she turned back to the interviewer, where she mocked Jon by acting out heavy breathing sounds and almost pig-like mannerisms.

The clip ended with her cutting back to Jon to jab: "Breathe quietly," while he sat there silently.

Jon appeared void of any emotion in the video, and viewers, whether it was their first time seeing the clip or rewatching after seeing the show the first time around, felt for him.

"Calling him 'honey' after that sentence is the most passive aggressive s*** I've ever heard," one person said.

Dissecting the video, another commented: "Her body language.. she hates him."

"B****... wtf 'breathe quietly'" a shocked viewer expressed.

Other remarks included: "He deserves better," "The OG Karen is a completely insufferable human," and "Yeah, poor guy."

With the video clip circulating again, it is clear that the couple were not meant to be together.

When they divorced, Kate had a spin-off show, Kate Plus 8, from 2010 until 2017.

Kate received primary custody of their eight children following the divorce; however, over time, two of the sextuplets, Hannah and Collin, moved in with their father.
