Khloé Kardashian Meme Goes Viral After Tristan Thompson Suspension

A joke about Khloé Kardashian has gone viral following ex-partner Tristan Thompson's NBA suspension.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star, 32, was suspended without pay by the NBA on Tuesday for breaching the no-drugs policy. The league said Thompson tested positive for the growth hormone ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033, also known as ligandrol, a nonsteroidal androgen receptor often used by weight lifters to build muscle.

He will miss 25 games, including Wednesday's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks.

After the news broke, social media user Molly Morrison shared a photo of Kardashian to X (formerly Twitter), taken from the family's E! reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians (2007-2021). In the screen grab, the socialite, 39, has a horrified expression on her face.

"So you're telling me he got suspended for........cheating," Morrison wrote alongside the image, adding a link to Uproxx's coverage of Thompson's suspension.

The joke is a reference to Thompson's previous cheating scandals.

Morrison's post received 4.3 million views in less than 24 hours. "This tweet deserves a medal," said one user, Millie. "Award winning," agreed @iDorisV.

"I'm screaming," wrote @_chelsea13. "He couldn't even stay loyal to *only* cheating on his girlfriends," said Harry.

"Shocker..." commented Amy G Barnes. "Is there any area of his life that he doesn't short change?" asked Camille999.

Newsweek has reached out to Kardashian and Thompson for comment via Instagram.

Thompson was first accused of cheating on Kardashian in April 2018, while the co-founder of the Good American fashion brand was pregnant with the couple's first child, True, now 5.

Photos of the basketball star kissing another woman at a New York nightclub began to circulate. This was followed by a video release from TMZ that showed Thompson getting cozy with two women at a hookah bar in Washington, D.C., reportedly filmed in October 2017.

Despite the allegations of infidelities, Kardashian decided to work on the relationship, although she denied rumors that the couple planned to wed. They briefly split in 2019, after reports that Thompson was involved with Jordyn Woods, the former best friend of Kardashian's half-sister, Kylie Jenner.

The pair reunited in August 2020. Their on-again-off-again romance appeared to continue for a number of years, but their relationship status was often unclear.

In January 2022, Thompson took a paternity test that revealed he had fathered a son with a woman named Maralee Nichols. Thompson also has a 7-year-old son, Prince Thompson, with ex-girlfriend Jordyn Craig.

In a statement about the results, Thompson publicly apologized to Kardashian, saying, "I have the utmost respect and love" for her.

"Khloe, you don't deserve this," the statement read. "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I've treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you."

Despite the drama, Kardashian and Thompson welcomed their second child, Tatum Thompson, via a surrogate in August 2022.

In a June 2023 episode of the family's Hulu reality show, The Kardashians, Kardashian told her mother, Kris Jenner, that she had no intention of getting back with Thompson.

"Him and I, have a great friendship relationship, we get along fine," she said. "And for my kids, I will put anything to the side. What's done is done, so what would I still be holding on to something for? I don't need to punish him because I'm not getting back with him."
