New Kim Kardashian Photos Spark Uproar

Kim Kardashian is known for dressing up for Halloween with her children, also often getting a spooky makeover.

However, a recent post by the superstar on Instagram has angered fans, with many accusing Kardashian of having "poor taste" in Halloween costumes when it comes to her son, Saint West.

On Tuesday, Kardashian shared her first Halloween post, which was of her and her daughter, North West, dressed up as characters from the 1995 film Clueless. They rocked the iconic plaid outfits that Cher and Dionne wore in the popular flick.

In a series of spooky posts, she shared a video of her as Salma Hayek's character from the vampire movie From Dusk Till Dawn and North as Disney Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog.

However, one Halloween costume photo caused a stir.

Kardashian posted an image of 7-year-old Saint dressed as a zombified version of Brazilian soccer player Neymar Jr. Saint wore a torn-up soccer uniform covered in fake blood along with fake cuts to his face and body. In the image, he is standing next to a friend dressed as zombified soccer star Lionel Messi.

The SKIMS founder's series of photos included close-ups of Saint's fake wounds. The image of two children covered in blood sparked an uproar from Kardashian's social media followers, who said that the image reminded them of the violence in Israel and Gaza.

On October 7, Hamas led the deadliest Palestinian militant attack on Israel in history. Israel subsequently launched its heaviest-ever airstrikes on Gaza. As of Thursday, over 1,400 people have been killed in Israel, the Associated Press reported. More than 9,000 people have been killed in Gaza, according to authorities there, the AP said.

Kardashian's followers have commented on the Instagram post in the thousands.

An outraged Instagram user said: "This is not right."

Another person commented: "Lost my respect for you," while a third wrote: "EXTREMELY TRIGGERING."

One follower said: "Maybe you should look outside your bubble of a life into the real world before you post something like this."

Insults kept coming: "You don't have humanity.. just look at the news and you will know why."

Other comments included: "Looks like kids in Gaza. Very poor taste" and "The most disturbing post I've seen this week."

Newsweek reached out to Kardashian's publicist via email and Messi and Neymar Jr.'s teams via email for comment.

At the time of writing, the post had been liked by Instagram users over 1.4 million times and had received over 32,000 comments.

In defense of the star, one social media user hit back at a negative comment and said: "Ya her son wanted to dress up as a zombie football player what's the problem..."

Her friend and CEO of Blended Strategy Group, Allison Statter, commented: "Handsome handsome handsome!"

Another pointed out: "Neymar is Saints favorite soccer player. Anyone who would actually take the time to notice those things would understand he's obsessed with Neymar. Halloween is a time of year for any kid to dress up and have fun. What happened in Palestine is completely horrific and just outrageous however this post is just a kid being a kid. I don't understand why it's being taken out of context."
