Marvel Snap: What to Spend Gold On

Marvel Snap is a new card battler that pits some of the world's greatest superheroes (and everyone in between) against each other. It's fast-paced, visually appealing, and exciting, even if card battlers aren't typically your thing. If you love Marvel Comics, there's plenty to enjoy here.

As you complete and emerge victorious in short battles in Marvel Snap, you'll be rewarded with Gold. This is the premium currency you'll earn by upgrading cards, winning battles, completing missions, purchasing the Season Pass, or getting more from the in-game store.

You need Gold in addition to Credits, which you'll receive from leveling up, completing missions, and a litany of other actions if you want to buy everything you want. That's typically the case with most free-to-play games that feature different types of currency and separate ways to earn them.

With that in mind, if you have plenty of Gold on hand in Marvel Snap, what should you spend it on? What is it good for? We've got all the answers you need and more to answer the questions burning in that Marvel Snap-riddled mind.

What to Spend Gold on in Marvel Snap

Since Gold is more difficult to come across than Credits, you'll want to use it sparingly, and not on every single thing you possibly can in-game. Many will simply want to spend Gold on getting additional Credits, but that isn't the best idea. For instance, you can buy 150 Credits for 120 Gold, or you can buy 500 Credits for 400 Gold. But it isn't really worth doing so in the long run, as you can simply earn Credits. Your Gold is best served being spent elsewhere in-game.

One of the most important things you can spend Gold on is refreshing your daily missions. While you could instead use Gold to purchase Credits (and you can if that's your prerogative), you should just use your Gold to refill your daily missions and earn additional Credits with it. When and if you run out of Gold to be used to refresh your daily missions, just save the rest for the next day and start the cycle over.

Additionally, you can use Gold to purchase additional card variants. Don't worry about doing this for every single card that pops up, because it will get extremely pricey. Instead, use Gold to purchase only the variants you really like, perhaps of your favorite heroes or villains, whatever strikes your fancy.

Marvel Snap is available now on iOS, Android, and PC via Steam.
