Millennial Shares Moment Grandparents Gave Her Confidence—'Believes in Me'

There's a certain thrill in buying something new and trying it on, but sometimes you just need to get a second (and third) opinion before deciding whether or not to keep it. For some people, that's a spouse, a roommate, or a sibling, but for Jenna Jean, the only opinions which matter are those of her grandparents.

Any time when Jean, 27, makes a new purchase, she's sure to put on a full blown fashion show for her beloved "nana and papa," Lois, 87, and David Davis, 86. Most recently, she bought some new tank tops, and sure, they may only be basics and nothing extraordinary, but her grandparents couldn't wait to see her latest shopping haul.

While they were busy watching the news in their bed, Jean strutted around the room to get their thoughts, telling Newsweek that they're her "ultimate hype team." Sure, she could look in the mirror and make the decision herself, but where's the fun in that?

Jean said: "We are a fashion show family, which means that whenever someone buys anything, you try it on for everyone and have your a little runway moment with everyone cheering like your biggest fans. I interrupted my nana and papa watching the news and asked if they wanted to see my new clothes.

"I showed off each item and of course they loved everything. I could put on a garbage bag, and they would think it was the chicest look in the world. The best part is that they were just basic tanks, nothing too exciting, but they make it the best thing in the world as though I was showing them designer items."

After sharing the adorable video of her grandparents on TikTok (@jennajean8), it delighted many and it's already been viewed more than 1.2 million times and gained over 155,100 likes.

For the most part, Jean is traveling around the world, but her grandparents are based in Utah. So, she will go back and visit them at every opportunity she has, as she says that spending time with her grandparents is one of her "favorite things to do in the world."

Not to mention, her grandma is the ultimate fashion icon, so her styling advice definitely counts, as Jean even joked that she's "become a model now because my nana believes in me." It may only seem like a trivial gesture to some, but for Jean, it serves as a reminder of "how special a relationship with grandparents" is.

Jean told Newsweek: "They have been a constant symbol of love throughout my life. When I was young, they helped raise me and love me. And now that I'm an adult, we hang out as friends.

"They are the greatest example of love in my life as they've been married for 65 years. I asked them why they like spending time with their grandkids and they said it's because of unconditional love. They love finding out what we're doing with our lives, and we keep them young."

Since the video went viral, many TikTok users have praised the adorable relationship that Jean has with her beloved grandparents, and many said they wished they could share memories like this. One comment reads: "This healed something in me."

Another person wrote: "Grandparents are the most pure best thing in the world."

While another TikToker commented: "Can I borrow your grandparents as my hype people! They're so sweet."
