Paparazzi Comment to Dua Lipa Confuses Onlookers

A photographer yelling at Dua Lipa has confused people on social media, with fans attempting to decipher the woman's comment.

The singer attended the Clive Davis pre-Grammy Party, sharing a video of her walking the red carpet to Instagram.

The 28-year-old wore an over-sized red leather trench coat, complete with large gold studs and a tie-belt. The Valentino design was paired with extra-long maroon trousers that draped over her shoes.

Although her coat was certainly eye-catching, a brazen member of the paparazzi managed to steal the show. The photographer shouted a question at the pop star, but viewers couldn't agree on what she was asking, with some fans claiming she said: "Open your shoulder."

"The photographer screaming 'Open your shoulder sweetheart,'" DJ Feeling commented on the post.

However, Reem disagreed, writing: "I think she said over the shoulder, cause she was behind her and wanted a pic."

"No she said open the shoulders," said Byron Angel. "So basically wanting g her to expose more of her flesh for her to take pictures of. Pretty sad really."

"She said over, and she said it to pretty much every woman," claimed @_komorebi__.

The outfit also divided opinions, with Aminu Ismail comparing it to a "fancy bathrobe."

"That jacket is horrible," said Ryan L.

"I love you but...you...um...Dua, you look like a Dalek!" wrote Phoenix.

Anil likened the coat to a "Strawberry," while Ymer M. Zeqiri said she resembled a "Christmas tree."

However, other fans loved the ensemble, with @sebasvalipa calling the singer a "Goddess."

"Yessss this look," said Erin Rae.

"I'm obsessed with your style," wrote Gonzalo Leonardo Soliverez Alvarez.

"Looking good baby, you're a Diva," commented Gabriel Levi, while @murtazoev.o5 said "Beautiful as always."

Lipa is used to experimenting with bold fashion choices, with many of her outfits splitting opinions online.

A white lace dress she wore to a wedding sparked uproar on Instagram in summer 2022, while Lipa was one of the stars to try to revive 2000's low-rise jeans.

Lipa was up for two awards at this year's Grammys, which took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Her track "Dance the Night" was nominated for Song of the Year, as well as Best Song Written for Visual Media.

The hit was written by Lipa and producers Mark Ronson and Alexander Wyatt for the Barbie movie album. The tune reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the star's fifth top-10 track in the U.S.

Although she went home empty-handed, Lipa already has three Grammys to her name. While receiving the Best New Artist accolade in 2019, Lipa called out Neil Portnow for his comments about women in music.

Portnow was formerly CEO of the Recording Academy, the organization that hosts the Grammys. When asked about the lack of female artists nominated in various categories, the music executive said that women need to "step-up" if they want to be recognized.

His remarks sparked uproar, with Lipa telling the Grammys' audience in 2019: "I guess this year we've really stepped up.

"I'm proof that you can do whatever you put your mind to. However hard you work, I really believe in it and I believe in you and thank you so much."
