How to Get Ability Patch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Players looking to get their hands on Ability Patches in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will need to take part in Six-Star Tera Raids. These events can be found all around the game world, but there are a couple of catches.

First, in order to unlock Six-Star Tera Raids, you're going to need to complete the main story in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This means completing the Victory Road storyline, completing all of the Titan Pokemon story, and even completing all of the Operation Starfall quests. From there, you'll need to complete the main story, which takes you into Area Zero.

Even after you have done all of that, the work isn't done. You'll also need to complete 10 four-star or higher raids. When you have managed that, though, you'll be able to talk to Jacq and start taking on six-star Tera Raids.

But, things aren't about to get any easier. While you'll need to complete six-star Tera Raids to unlock Ability Patches, they aren't a guaranteed drop. In fact, they are very rare, with just a 1 percent chance of dropping as one of the post-raid rewards you can unlock. This means you're likely going to be doing a lot of six-star Tera Raids to get your hands on multiple Ability Patches.

Of course, these items are really only useful for maximizing stats and unlocking the hidden ability on certain Pokemon that can't really flourish without it. If you aren't interested in that, then you're better off just breeding Pokemon until you end up with some great stats that really showcase the Pokemon's talents and abilities.

You can also catch yourself some pseudo-legendary Pokemon, which will help make your team even stronger if you're planning to go into six-star raids, or even the upcoming Unrivaled Charizard event set for early December.
