How to Get Leader Crest in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The Leader's Crest is an evolution item players can find in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The item is used to evolve a Bisharp into a Kingambit, making it an item that many will need to find if they wish to complete the Paldea Pokedex.

Finding the Leader's Crest isn't as easy as simply buying it. Unlike the Clear Amulet or the Lucky Egg, which are rewarded for purchasing or completing certain progress points within the game, the Leader's Crest can only be found in one place. Here's everything you need to know to get your hands on a Leader's Crest in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Get a Leader's Crest

To get a Leader's Crest, players will need to defeat a Bisharp that is holding one. These Bisharp are only found in North Province Area One and North Province Area Two, and the Bisharp that you need to defeat will be surrounded by at least four Pawniards.

There are two ways to make use of the Leader's Crest. The first is to get a Bisharp with the Leader's Crest. This can be done by catching one of the Bisharp that is surrounded by four Pawniards. You must then have your Bishard hold the Leader's Crest and defeat any three Bisharp found in Paldea. Doing this will cause your Bisharp to evolve into Kingambit, allowing you to unlock that entry in your Pokedex.

If you do not have a Bisharp with a Leader's Crest, though, then you can simply defeat three Bisharp that have the Leader's Crest (remember to look for those surrounded by four Pawniards to know they have a Leader's Crest). Completing this task will cause your Bisharp to evolve into a Kingambit.
