Prince George's Move He Learned From Kate Middleton Caught on Camera

Prince George's hair gestures have become the focus of a new viral video as endearing clips of the royal with his mother, the Princess of Wales, performing repeated movements have been praised by fans on social media site, TikTok.

George is the eldest child of Prince William and Kate, born in 2013, and is set to one day inherit the British throne. The prince has seen his number of public appearances increase over the past year, the most prominent of which saw him take on the role of "Page of Honour" during the coronation of his grandfather, King Charles III.

The prince and his siblings, Princess Charlotte (born 2015) and Prince Louis (2018), have developed a growing fan base as their public appearances have become more frequent, with many social media posts and videos focused on these official events going viral.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, thewalesfamily5, on January 25, a new compilation video of clips has highlighted a touching lesson learned by George from his mother when appearing in public.

Early footage shows the princess repeatedly smoothing her son's hair during official appearances, taken at events like the christening of Princess Charlotte in 2015 or the Trooping the Colour celebrations in 2016.

Captioned "Prince George learned from the best," the video then includes footage of George at events in 2023 such as a coronation engagement and a Christmas Day appearance where he is seen smoothing his own hair in the same way his mother had in previous years, hinting that a valuable royal lesson may have been learned.

The viral clips have been viewed over 700,000 times since their upload and have received in excess of 68,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the young prince and the royal family.

"I love this family, he learned from the best that he is now capable of doing it on his own," wrote one TikTok user.

"George is such an adorable kid," posted another with a further comment referencing the prince's paternal grandmother, Princess Diana.

"Diana used to do this w[ith] William and Harry," it said.

George's last public appearance to date was on Christmas Day, where he was seen with his siblings and parents alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla and several other senior royals for the Sandringham church service and walkabout.

The event also marked the last time that Kate was seen in public, before it was announced that she had undergone "planned abdominal surgery" on January 16.

The princess spent nearly two weeks in the hospital, after which it was announced that she had returned to the Wales family home on the grounds of Windsor Castle to recuperate.
