'Better Call Saul' Season 6, Part 2 Release Date: When Episode 8 Will Air

It's almost the end of the road for everyone's favorite criminal lawyer, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).

So far, Season 6 of Better Call Saul has seen Jimmy McGill, aka Saul, concoct an elaborate scheme with wife Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) to ruin Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian) and finally enjoy some success with his law practice after getting Lalo Salamanca (Tony Dalton) out on bail.

The Breaking Bad spin-off show has also been dealing with the aftermath of Gus Fring's (Giancarlo Esposito) assassination attempt on Lalo, with the former becoming increasingly paranoid once he realizes the ruthless cartel member faked his own death and is, in fact, alive and out for revenge.

Better Call Saul's final season has been split into two parts, with the first coming to an end on Monday, May 23. Here is everything you need to know about part 2.

Better Call Saul Season 6's second half will premiere on AMC Monday, July 11, with the season's eighth episode, and will continue to air on a weekly basis.

Unlike the first half, which launched with its first two episodes, only one episode will be released upon the show's return.

Part 2 of the show will consist of six episodes in total, and fans should expect it to lead into Breaking Bad as well as explain what happened to Saul, now going by the name Gene Takovic, after the events of the iconic show.

Thomas Schnauz both wrote and directed episode 7, and he shared on Twitter that fans should not expect a "traditional 'cliffhanger'" in the episode, as the creative team had originally written the season as one entity but it had to be split in two as a result of a number of delays.

He said: "Just to warn everyone: we wrote S6 of #BetterCallSaul to be aired as 13 continuous episodes, but various delays split the season in half. So 607 was not written or filmed as a traditional 'cliffhanger.'"

While the show may not be having a typical mid-season finale, this doesn't mean that it won't have some surprises in store for fans.

When speaking to Newsweek about how the first part will lead into the second half, and if there are any surprises like the one that bridged the two parts of Breaking Bad Season 5, Dalton said there would be a "huge shocker."

The Lalo Salamanca star explained that the show's seventh episode, which closes out Part 1, will leave fans with "their mouths open," but kept a tight lip on what this shocking moment could be.

He also teased: "When I read it, I jumped up and down in Albuquerque, I was like, 'oh my god, I can't believe what happened.' That's the truth."
