Dyslexic Teen Gets Quote Tattooed, Then Realizes His Mistake

A tattoo typo has left the internet in stitches after a young man accidentally made a rather permanent mistake.

Shared by his mom Tusdé, her teen son Wyatt got a new tattoo earlier this month. Located on the back of his arm above his elbow, the artist inadvertently tattooed the phrase: "Think postivite."

When Wyatt sent his mom the picture, she pointed out that her dyslexic son may have made a mistake with the spelling, as he was trying to get a tattoo that said: "Think positive."

Sharing it on Reddit's r/s*****tattoos subreddit, she said: "My dyslexic son's tattoo—he's keeping a positive attitude."

"He does think it's funny now. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, because it's fixable," Tusdé told Newsweek. "He's autistic as well, so I was worried when he first messaged me. But he kept cool."

Thankfully, after noticing the mistake, the artist covered up the tattoo with a row of trees the same evening.

"His stepdad told him he should get an alien space ship beaming up Bigfoot from the trees," Tusdé said.

The post quickly garnered traction, with users flooding the comments section with a mix of amusement and support. Redditor Haruspex-of-Odium humorously rallied fellow dyslexics and said: "Dyslexics of the world, untie!!"

While ridingincarswithdogs questioned the oversight: "Omg I thought this was a self deprecating dyslexia tattoo he got as a joke. How did the artist not say anything?!?"

Others, like Reddit user ele05944, explained that their own dyslexia meant it had taken them a moment to realize what was wrong with that tattoo.

"I think it's funny lol," said sheilds_wheats, while Inverness07 suggested he shouldn't have bothered getting it covered up. "I kinda wish he kept it," they said.

Tusdé originally shared the picture online without mentioning it to her son, but when she told him, he thought it was hilarious.

"Wyatt had no idea that I posted it on Reddit. I really wasn't expecting it to be that popular! When I messaged him, he went to look it up, and thought it was funnier," she explained.

This isn't the first time a bad tattoo mistake has left the internet in stitches. Like another teenager's strange wolf tattoo, or a man's first and only tattoo that prompted one commenter to say: "I have so many questions."

Wyatt and Tusdé took it all in their stride though. The mom said: " I just thought it was funny that my kid would be the one to get that tattoo. My friends get to brag about their kids going to four-year colleges. My kid is in Tankerman school and getting messed up tattoos."
