Harvestella Multiplayer: Does It Have Co-Op?

Harvestella is a unique game that combines life and farm simulation elements with RPG mechanics. It's packed to the brim with fishing, cooking, gathering crops, and farming, and it's clearly heavily inspired by games like Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons, with a dash of the Atelier series and even Rune Factory.

With that in mind, there's plenty to do for anyone who jumps in-game. You can change your appearance, upgrade your hammer and break rocks to better optimize harvesting crops, and even find romance. But players are asking some important questions about what Harvestella has to offer, for instance whether it offers a way to play with others or not.

Farming sims are often made better when you can enjoy them with friends, especially since you can plant crops together, go out adventuring, and build something fun together. That's part of what makes games like these so fun, after all––the way you can spend time with others and make progress simultaneously.

Is Harvestella Multiplayer and Does It Have Co-Op?

Harvestella does not have any co-op or multiplayer options. Instead, it is strictly a single-player experience. That means if you want to share what you're seeing and finding in-game, you'll just have to chat about it with friends and talk to them about everything you've found.

That doesn't mean that there aren't any plans to bring multiplayer or co-op to Harvestella in the future, however. It's unlikely, especially as publisher Square Enix has not announced anything of the sort. It's important to realize, however, that if this is a feature that could come at a later date, it would be an involved addition and it might take some time to come to fruition.

Unfortunately, there have been no announcements and there has been zero news on the topic of whether Harvestella could ever expand to a multiplayer adventure. There are plenty of other similar games you could play now instead; however, if you wanted to see what a story-centric, farm sim multiplayer offering might be like. Your best bet may indeed be something like Stardew Valley if that's something you want to play.
