Kim Kardashian's New Video Mocked

Kim Kardashian's latest Instagram video is being ridiculed, but fans may have been too quick to criticize the clip.

The reality-star-turned-actress has teamed up with some fellow big names in a tribute to director Ryan Murphy.

The 43-year-old is currently starring in Murphy's anthology series, American Horror Story: Delicate, as a fierce New York City PR guru—with the showrunner penning the role especially for Kardashian.

In the 11-minute video, created with Architectural Digest, Kardashian and several other Murphy collaborators narrate a tour of the TV heavyweight's Bel-Air mansion. The celebrity soundtrack accompanies snippets of Murphy's modernist abode, built in 1955 by iconic architect Richard Neutra.

"I love architecture and furniture, so to be asked to help narrate a home tour for Architectural Digest for Ryan Murphy's home was such an honor," Kardashian wrote alongside the clip.

"Watch the mini movie featuring me and so many other wonderful and talented RMTV collaborators/swans."

AHS regular Sarah Paulson opens the tour video. Describing Murphy's 25-year career in Hollywood as built on a "devotion to beauty and a belief in conflict," the 49-year-old horror icon explains how the filmmaker's creative approach is reflected in his home.

However, Instagram users confused Paulson's voice for Kardashian's.

"Doesn't sound like you at all," said Amy Dennocenzo Ackerman.

"You sound raspy and monotone," wrote Caitlin Markidis.

"Your voice sounds like it hurts to talk," said Ma Riah.

"Kim you have smoker's voice now," commented @thescreenshotfolder.

"Where is your whisper baby voice?" asked Danielle, while Pau Landin said: "Not you at all, sorry."

Newsweek has reached out to Kim Kardashian's publicist for comment via email.

Others defended Kardashian and Paulson, mocking commenters who didn't realize there are multiple voice-overs in the video.

"Guys there [is] more than one narrator, not just Kim," said Amanda Jasudavisius.

"Funny how some people don't read captions or watch full videos," wrote Maria Grgurovic.

Colin Kerwin called the partnership between Kardashian and Paulson his "niche dream collab."

"Sarah Paulson sounds amazing," said @charmedpudding.

"You and Sarah Paulson slay," agreed RW.

"Y'all just hatin, kim girl u ate," commented Javi.

However, others accused the socialite of stealing her sister Kourtney Kardashian's thunder. The 44-year-old's California mansion appeared on the magazine's cover in 2016.

"Now Kim loves architecture ? [Shaking my head]," said Krystal Louis.

"Architectural digest was kourtney's thing!" wrote @somethingaboutsur.

"How mad was Kourtney," asked Grace.

Other celebs to feature in the video of Murphy's home include Demi Moore, Chloë Sevigny, Diane Lane and Naomi Watts, who are starring in the second season of Murphy's FX historical drama Feud: Capote vs The Swans.

Fellow AHS alum Angela Bassett also took part, with Niecy Nash-Betts also lending her voice to the clip. The 53-year-old starred as one of Jeffrey Dahmer's neighbors in Murphy's 2022 true crime series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

After her break out role in AHS: Delicate, Kardashian is going to be fronting her own show with Murphy. Brothers & Sisters creator Jon Robin Baitz is scripting the legal drama, which will see Kardashian play a successful divorce lawyer running an all-female law firm in Los Angeles.
