Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Get the Amulet Coin

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is generous with most items and gives you plenty of Pokemon to capture. Unfortunately, it doesn't always ensure you're flush with cash. That's something you'll have to take care of on your own.

Unfortunately, most things in the Paldea region that you might require on your journey do cost money. That includes Poke Balls, Potions and everything in between. And sometimes, if your Pokemon are in a bad way, that might mean you have to skip some of the battles that could get you some extra money so you can prioritize healing your party at a Pokemon Center instead.

There is a way to ensure you get some extra money rolling in, however. Coincidentally, it requires you to battle other Trainers. It's an item called the Amulet Coin, which will double all your earnings from Trainer battles. That means you get more money for the same amount of work! If you're ready to earn more money in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, here's how to get the Amulet Coin.

How to Get the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To get the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you'll need to speak with a specific Pokemon League representative. You'll recognize these characters as the men wearing suits you see around Pokemon Centers. For the Amulet Coin, you need to seek out the man at the Pokemon Center outside Medali, which is the town you'll enter in West Province Area Three.

This area is not going to be fully open to you until you acquire the ability to swim with Koraidon or Miraidon, so make sure you've reached that point in the story before setting out to get this item. It should take until about your third Gym battle, and you'll be good to go after that.

When you speak with this Pokemon League representative, he'll let you know he'll give you a prize if you defeat at least five other Trainers nearby. So all you need to do from there is start participating in battles. Around this area, you'll find monsters from Level 20 to mid-Level 30, so come prepared with the right Pokemon for the job.

Once you've completed five battles, go back to the Pokemon League rep. He'll then award you with the Amulet Coin. You can give it to one of your Active Pokemon to hold. The next battle you get involved with, you'll see that you've earned far beyond your usual amount. Be sure to save a little of that money here and there, and you'll be rolling in dough in no time.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
