How to Give Your Pokemon a Title in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Players looking to give their Pokemon special Titles will be happy to learn that the Marks and Titles system has once more returned in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. These special badges essentially allow your Pokemon to have a designation when it is sent out to battle, which lets you stand out a bit more from the other trainers out there.

If you want to get your hands on some Titles and Marks for your Pokemon, then you're going to need to jump through a few hoops. Mostly, you're going to be spending a lot of time catching the Pokemon on which you want to have Titles.

Here's what you need to unlock Marks and Titles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Unlike the Shell Bell or the Lucky Egg, you can't just go up and buy all the Marks or Titles that you want in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Instead, you'll need to complete different objectives in order to unlock these various available Titles.

Some Titles and Marks can be found by catching Pokemon, or by simply leveling up your friendship, which can easily be done with the Soothe Bell. Others can be acquired by finding items with that Pokemon. For the most part, though, you'll be spending a lot of time catching Pokemon to acquire all of the different Marks found in the game.

Unfortunately, getting your hands on a Mark is all up to chance, as many only come with a 1 to 2 percent chance of dropping when you catch a Pokemon. A special Mark, called the Destiny Mark, can even be added to your collection if you catch a Pokemon during your birthday.

Others will require you to catch Pokemon during certain times of the day, as well as certain weather conditions, too, like harsh sunlight, a blizzard and so on down the list.

If you want to see if your Pokemon has a special designation, open up the Summary and look at the third section of its description. Here, you'll see the Pokemon's Nature, as well as the level it was when you caught it, and any Titles, Ribbons or Marks that you have on that Pokemon.

There are 50 Marks that can be acquired, giving you at least 50 Titles to grant to your various Pokemon, which makes it easy to get your entire party titled up if you are able to catch the ones that you want with a Mark already applied.
